Dr. Babu Mathew is a distinguished Head & Neck Oncologist and Maxillofacial Pathologist with nearly six decades of expertise in cancer prevention, control, and community oncology. A veteran in the field, he has significantly shaped India’s approach to cancer awareness, screening, and public health education.

From 1985 to 2002, Dr. Mathew served as Professor, Principal, and Dean at several reputed institutions. He later led the Community Oncology Division at the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), Thiruvananthapuram, pioneering community-based cancer care programs and early detection initiatives.

He currently holds several key positions in prestigious organizations and continues to contribute to national and international efforts in cancer control and public health policy.
